I’m just a regular 18 year old girl who was wrapped into the world of Supernatural when I started watching it in January 2010. After the Pilot, I was hooked and somehow I was up to speed when they aired the last two episodes of season five. Watching five seasons under the duration of one is something I will never be able to do again, but I watched Swan Song with the rest of the world. I have no idea how.
When we were told to do a project in school, I knew what I wanted to do. I wanted to do a project about the show that had somehow managed to take over parts of my life. So I figured out that I wanted to make a website, and this is the result.
A lot of these texts are from the fans, and I have written some. Some people wanted to be anonymous, most people actually, and a few wanted to share their names. So, unless written otherwise, all text are written by me.
I asked fans for their stories, opinions, and everything they could think of. I asked them to give me their Supernatural experience. And thankfully, they did. I wouldn’t have been able to do this project without you guys. I have you to thank for everything. For welcoming me into the fandom, for making me feel like a part of the family. For making me feel like a part of something. For making me feel like I could make a difference.
So, I’d like to thank you and I do so in the spirit of this project. It’s not a project for me, or for a teacher, or for a grade. It’s for you. Us. The fans. We’re in this together, and despite our fights and arguments we’ll stick together. If Supernatural has taught us something, it’s that family doesn’t end with blood.
I would like to end this introduction in the words of our own favorite moose. “It’s my third family, it’s my biggest and strongest family. And I love that family.”
